Sa gabos na nagpaabot ki tabang, Dios Mabalos saindong gabos!
GM Bicol would like to express its utmost thanks to all the donors and sponsors who supported our 'Turuwang para sa Tiwi' initiative last January 2019.
When we went to Brgy. Bariis to deliver the help we got from you, the roads were still unsafe for vehicles. The once green fields of rice became plain brown. The village has 300 families or 225 households affected by the landslide - a total of 1,473 population needed help - food and water. There were elderly and children who needed food and medicine the most.
The 'Turuwang para sa Tiwi' initiative was able to collect food, cloths, drinking water, and medicines. Your kindness was able to reach 180 households. With all your help, we are able to prepare comfort packs with rice, noodles, coffee and bread in it. Also, we are able to distribute pre-loved cloths to the affected families. The BUCM Students also provided medical / health education.
It is needless to say, the team felt very happy as we saw the resilience of the people, especially children, through the smiles on their faces. And we want you to know that as well.
